As the leader of a talented team of four senior software engineers, I spearheaded a groundbreaking project for a new client in the supply chain industry. Our goal was to implement critical features using Java Spring Boot microservices, Angular frontend, and Airflow/Python pipelines. With meticulous planning and a collaborative approach, we delivered two new features that exceeded our client's expectations. Then, I went on to lead a new team, focused on enhancing performance, reliability, and autoscaling with AWS serverless services and infrastructure as code. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of AWS cloud services, we were able to develop a new CDK application that incorporated the best practices of infrastructure as code. The results were stunning. We successfully migrated an entire system, comprising of over 50 SpringBoot services, a Kafka cluster, a Redshift database, several Postgres databases, an ElasticSearch cluster, Lambda functions, an Airflow instance, and much more. Overall, this project was a testament to the power of collaboration, innovation, and attention to detail. Our team's hard work and dedication paid off in spades, delivering results that will have a lasting impact on our client's business.

BNDES

Senior Software Engineer • January 2008 - January 2022

Brazil’s national development bank, a top government corporation, with a portfolio of tens of billions of dollars. Coded both web and batch processing systems that processed hundreds of thousands of transactions. Besides coding, my job included interfacing with users, QA and infrastructure teams, designing and proposing architectures and passing them through internal committees. Designed and coded systems integrating a complex ecosystem of legacy code, including web platforms in Java with Microsoft SQL Server back-ends, and IBM Mainframe back-ends. Currently I develop web applications using Angular, RESTful Java EE backend and SQL Server. However, most of my contribution comes from my ability to communicate and blend people together for a single purpose. I also build and facilitate forums involving the whole department (40+ analysts) to discuss and debate a mutual matter such as software components and web application frameworks.

Banco BBM

The application had the main role to provide reports and information concerning individual and area portfolio profits. This application was also used as an input to calculate semester bonuses for managers. Desktop application developed in Visual Basic 6.0 and SQL Server.
